A Very Sichuan Friendsgiving
Posted by Jenny G on
The Holiday season is upon us, and while it's always a blessing to reunite with family and friends around the table, for those of us tasked with hosting duties, this can often be a stressful time. Whenever we host big groups of friends at home, we like to look to the Chinese-perfected art of communal dining for inspiration. We are grateful to all 1683 of you trailblazers who saw our vision and signed on first to help us make Fly By Jing a reality. Thank you also to everyone who has joined us since, helping us push forward our mission of bringing diversity to the natural food space. I started Fly By Jing because I...

In it, a group of Asian-American chefs and Fly By Jing founder Jenny Gao talked about their experiences growing up wanting to distance themselves from their food, their identity, and how that very thing they once rejected has become their path to finding purpose and meaning. It wasn't always cool to pull out a school lunch of dumplings, fried rice, and other immigrant staples, but we can be proud of how much has changed since those days! We asked on Instagram what Chinese food means to...
